Marie-Anne Izmajlov (alias Manca Izmajlova - pronounced Mántsa Izmáylova) is an internationally acclaimed singer, as well as host, actress, director, creator of cultural projects, coach, and author. This year marks her 25th year as a professional stage performer. She studied acting, musical theatre and classical singing at prestigious institutions in London and Moscow.
Her repertoire features over 400 songs in 23 languages across diverse genres.
As a soloist, she has performed in major cities around the world, collaborating with renowned orchestras and musicians. With over 1,500 concerts to her name, she has also performed at official state events for presidents, diplomats, and dignitaries, and supported countless charitable causes.
Her discography includes 8 studio albums, two of which—Slavic Soul and Slovene Heart—received platinum certification. As an author, she published the best-selling book Breathe in Life with Full Lungs, now in its third print run in her native Slovenia. She conducts workshops and seminars on how to restore full breathing, improve public speaking, and voice strengthening, and writes lifestyle columns. She has also created two beloved children’s projects: The Book That Rocks You to Sleep and The Most Beautiful Songs for All Seasons.
Beyond music, Marie-Anne has worked as an actress, TV presenter, and director. On RTV Slovenia, she hosted and co-created the show Invitation to a Dance in the beginning of her career, directed and translated two musicals, and co-developed numerous cultural events and productions.
She speaks Slovenian, English, Russian, German and Italian.
Since 2024, she has been hosting her own radio show Musical Journey with Manca Izmajlova on ORF Kärnten (Slovene Editorial).
She is married to violinist, composer, and music producer Benjamin Izmajlov. They have three daughters and live in Klagenfurt, Austria.
